Main Street Marina Update – 8/2/2020

We wanted to give you an update regarding The Paddlewheel & Main Street Marina.

On 7/31/2020, we let everyone know that we had one employee who has tested positive for Covid-19.

This employee worked at The Paddlewheel during the dates of 7/21/20 through 7/25/20, and has not been at work since. If you were at The Paddlewheel any day during this time, we have been advised by the Taney County Health Department, that you should monitor for symptoms, however you do not need to quarantine. If you do develop symptoms, you should contact your physician or contact the Taney County Health Department.

We have had many ask if we were required to close. No, while we were not required to close, we voluntarily made the decision to close, in the best interest and safety of our employees & guests.

Some have also asked or there have been comments made on why we closed so abruptly on Friday.

We were notified at approximately 6:00 pm on Friday, July 31st.

We made the decision to close immediately, out of an abundance of caution.

We had all guests off the property by 7:00 pm.

We felt this was the most responsible action to take, based on the circumstances.

It has now been 8 days since this employee has been at work, and no other employees are showing symptoms. We have been in daily contact with this individual, and fortunately, they are experiencing a mild case, they are getting better daily and continue to quarantine at home.
These are challenging times for us all. We are taking the situation very seriously and making the best decisions we can.

Currently, we plan on reopening Main Street Marina on August 10th, and The Paddlewheel will reopen on Tuesday, August 11, 2020

We have felt your continued support and it much appreciated. Thank you!

We will see you back on the Dock very soon.

Lianne & Larry
