There Be Pirates In Them There Waters

The Lake Queen at Main Street Lake CruisesThe beauty of the Ozarks is a truly beautiful sight to behold. There is no better place to witness that then floating down Lake Taneycomo on a sightseeing cruise provided by Main Street Lake Cruises. The waterways in the Ozarks have some amazing stories attached to them. Up in the bluffs, you can see the area where Al Capone would set up his hideout to keep watch. He was able to look out across the wide area and see in advance any approach from government officials.  With Baldnobbers and bandits all over the history of the Ozark Mountains, it’s no surprise that we have found that lately there has been an appearance of pirates in the area.

The Lake Queen fights Pirates off on Lake TaneycomoNever fear, Main Street Lake Cruises has come up with a way to deal with that pesky problem from the upper deck of the Lake Queen. The Queen is a vintage style paddleboat that was often seen traveling the waters of the White River. The Lake Queen has encountered bands of pirates sneaking up on them in past cruises; so, they have devised a special weapon to help fend off those scoundrels of the riverways. On the tail of the boat, we have water cannons equipped to handle the approaching onslaught. The video below will show you more on that fabulous contraption that packs a wallop so scare off those scallywags.

Check our calendar to see what cruise works best for you. It will surely be a great time for you and your friends or family. Regardless of your age, you are going to love this awesome cruise brought to you by Main Street Lake Cruises, on Main Street Marina. Give us a call at 417-239-3980 and we will be happy to answer your questions and make reservations for this fantastic sightseeing cruise.

We look forward to having you aboard!

Hot Times and Cooler Nights at the Paddlewheel

Have you been down to Main Street MarinaFog off the Water by Main Street Marina in Branson since summer has started? Summer, so hot and humid, changes down on the Paddlewheel once the sun goes down. Lake Taneycomo is kept at 50° because the water that feeds Lake Taneycomo is directly off the bottom of Tablerock Lake. This makes Trout fishing amazing and helps to cool the breeze coming off the lake. Because of that, the air down on the lake is cooler than anywhere else in Branson. Sometimes you’ll see a fog arise from the surface of the water and when that fog comes across the Paddlewheel, you hear an almost audible “ahhh” from everyone as the cool envelopes the area. But we also have fans going to keep things comfortable at all times.

But just because we’re trying to cool ourselves down, doesn’t mean we don’t want to heat up the party! Most days of the week, you can find live music from our open mic night to DJ’s to local and regional bands, the music…rock & roll, country, soul, pop, latin…it’s all here! We have something for everyone! The drink features and the menu is always amazing. There are so  many specials  during the week; we want to Rock the Dock… Not your wallet!

Paralandra at The Paddlewheel on Main Street MarinaHave you ever wondered why we say “Rock the Dock” at the Paddlewheel? If you have, then you haven’t been here when dancers crowd the dance floor because our dock literally rocks. You can feel the gentle, well, sometimes not so gentle, movement as the dock moves. It announces…the party is ON!

There is no better place to enjoy the water and the best Branson has to offer than at The Paddlewheel on Main Street Marina.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
