If you are looking for a good time The Paddlewheel is where you wanna be! As Spring approaches, the nights for live events increases. Bring your friends and hang out at Branson’s LARGEST Nightclub! You will have an opportunity to Rock The Dock most every night!

National Beer Days are April 6th and 7th! Mother’s Brewing Company will be releasing a special draft that will be offered only at The Paddlewheel this Spring! There will be great beer specials in addition to Rock The Dock the night of the 6th! It’s gonna be AMAZING!

Starting April 9th Kavebear Karaoke comes to the Paddlewheel! Now, you become the star every Tuesday night; come grab the mic and let it all hang out. There are always great drink features available to loosen up your vocal cords. Come out and check it out! It will always be a good time.

Do you know everything? We have just the night for you and your knowledgable friends. Each month Trivia night will take place. A great night with drink specials, prizes, and fun starting on April 15th! Come out and test your trivia skills at Let’s Get Trivial, against the best this area has to offer. Myers and Mooney will be your Quiz Czars, and trust me – They know things.

SHAMRock The Dock – St. Patrick’s Day Weekend

Branson’s LARGEST Nightclub is throwing a party so big, for St. Patrick’s Day weekend that is, so BIG, it’s going to take two days! SHAMRock the Dock has become one of the biggest celebrations in the area over the last few years and we are looking forward to seeing you at The Paddlewheel on Main Street Marina!

There will be a specialty drink and food menu, and Guinness Stout will be on tap along with other great local options. We will have a Photo Booth to catch all of those awesome memories. There will also be an appearance by those lucky little Blair leprechauns. But hey, size doesn’t really matter.

We have a great line up for entertainment over the SHAMRock the Dock weekend. Friday the 15th, we will feature DJ’s Rob and Scott. These guys are always a favorite when they come out to the dock. Saturday the 16th will include Fun House; one of the most popular bands in this region! There is always plenty of room on the dance floor for you and your friends.

At the Paddlewheel, we enjoy the rich history St Patrick’s Day has in the United States. We are happy to be a part of that tradition.

ST. PATRICK’S DEATH & THE FIRST ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARADE

Saint Patrick, who lived during the fifth century, is the patron saint and national apostle of Ireland. Born in Roman Britain, he was kidnapped and brought to Ireland as a slave at the age of 16. He later escaped, but returned to Ireland and was credited with bringing Christianity to its people. In the centuries following St. Patrick’s death (believed to have been on March 17, 461), the mythology surrounding his life became ever more ingrained in the Irish culture: Perhaps the most well-known legend is that he explained the Holy Trinity using the three leaves of a native Irish clover, the shamrock.

Since around the 9th or 10th century, people in Ireland have been observing the Roman Catholic feast day of St. Patrick on March 17. Interestingly, however, the first parade held to honor St. Patrick’s Day took place not in Ireland but in the United States. On March 17, 1762, Irish soldiers serving in the English military marched through New York City. Along with their music, the parade helped the soldiers reconnect with their Irish roots, as well as with fellow Irishmen serving in the English army.

America is filled with many amazing traditions for St Patrick’s Day, including dyed green waterways, and fabulous parades. Even if you don’t have any Irish heritage, many just enjoy their short-lived Irishness once a year.

Lake Taneycomo – A History

It happens all the time. When people that come from somewhere else and spend time with us dockside we get some very similar questions. Is this a lake or a river? What river are we sitting alongside? Why do they call this a lake when it looks like a river? We thought this would be a good place to explain some of the mystery of the picturesque and river (or lake) in Branson, Missouri.

History of Lake Taneycomo

Lake Taneycomo is a man-made lake or reservoir created from a section of the White River in Taney County Missouri. The name of the river comes from that county that it is located in. From the early 1900s to 1958 the lake was a warm water lake. Once Tablerock Dam was completed in August 1958, the source of Lake Taneycomo came from the bottom of Tablerock Lake. From that time onward, the lake has remained a fairly constant 50ish degrees. As you can imagine, with this change, swimming near the Rockaway Beach area declined and many of the tourists wanting to get into the water instead moved toward other activities in Branson. Swimming in a cold water lake just wasn’t desirable.

Fishermen soon found that the chilly waters of Lake Taneycomo became a premier location for Trout fishing. Whether you prefer fly fishing or other methods, you will be hard pressed to find a more suitable location to catch Trout. With the completion of the Shepherd of the Hills Fish Hatchery in 1957, Lake Taneycomo became one of the best year-round locations for Trout fishing. No matter the time of year, it is rare to find the lake deserted of fishermen.

The best of a river and lake aspects are included in Lake Taneycomo. It has become a terrific location for fishing, hiking, boating, sightseeing, and many other activities.

Lat’s Get The New Year Started – 2019 at Main Street Marina

What an amazing New Year’s Party we had at Main Street Lake Cruises and The Paddlewheel! DJ Valence rocked the Princess while DJ’s Rob and Scott really made the Dock Rock! Everything was packed and we had an amazing time. The photobooth took more pictures than it ever has, and everyone seemed to stay right through the champagne toast at Midnight. It was probably our largest party of the year. Nothing like bringing in 2019 in with a bang!

We couldn’t have had much better weather on the Dock, between all the firepits and the body heat it was quite comfortable.

Looking Forward to an Amazing 2019

We are really looking forward to what the new year holds. Just because the first couple of months might be a bit slower doesn’t mean we will be holding back on the things that make it amazing to be At Main Street Marina!

During the week, at the Paddlewheel, we have Open Mic Night on Wednesday Night. On the weekend we will always be on the lookout to bring the best entertainment that the area has to offer. In addition, until March 1st, if you mention that you are a local you will receive 20% off your tab at The Paddlewheel. We really appreciate your business, so while many of our industries may be slower, we want to try to make it a little easier on your budget. It’s Been a Great Year – Let’s Throw a Party

Oh what an amazing year 2018 has been! From all of us at Main Street Marina, we would like to thank you for coming to spend some time with us on the Dock. Being locally owned and operated we take pride in seeing so many people catch a reflection of the area atmosphere and what that looks and tastes like.

Main Street Lake Cruises and Watersport Rentals

Thousands upon thousands of people have come to party on Lake Taneycomo with Main Street Lake Cruises and Main Street Marina Water Sports. There is no better way to witness the beauty of the Ozarks unfolding before your eyes than along the waters of the White River Basin. Whether it be on a sightseeing excursion on the Lake Queen or an opulent dinner cruise aboard The Landing Princess, our staff takes pride in making the experience one that you will never forget. We strive to give you experiences that you will reflect upon fondly for a lifetime. We have really enjoyed getting to know the people on the cruises and group charters that have been hosted over the last year.

Our water sports rental dock at Main Street Marina saw so many individuals and families that wanted to get out on the water on a more personal basis. With hydro bikes, stand up paddleboards, kayaks, and the speedy Craigcats available, many folks were able to use the option they wanted to get out on the water.

This last year has brought many people to The Paddlewheel as well. Where scratch local cuisine and hand-crafted cocktails come to life; bringing you the best of the Ozarks all right here to you overlooking the beauty of Lake Taneycomo.

The Paddlewheel has not only become one of the best places to sample local fare but it has also become the largest nightclub in the area. On The Princess, we will board at 8:30 pm and set out on a late night cruise to bring in the new year with style. DJ Valence will be there to bring the music you are going to love!
